Motion Blur - How To Avoid!

One of the most frequent problems, especially with small digital cameras, is motion blur. Quite often an image with motion blur is mistaken for being out of focus. The best way to avoid motion blur is to hold the camera so that you can rest your arms against your chest. Take a deep breath, let it out about half way, then carefully depress the shutter button. With smaller digital cameras, and low light conditions, a tripod or unipod may be required, as it can be extremely difficult to adequately brace these small, portable cameras. Good luck and happy shooting!

How Do YOU Like Full Sized Images To Open?

I have a question for everyone. When viewing images in a gallery do you prefer to have the full sized image open in the same browser window (which it is currently set at at Utch's Web Page), or do you prefer to have the full sized image open in a new browser window? As it is now you close the full sized image by hitting back on your browser then returning you back to that gallery's page. The other way you would simply close the new browser window.

Thanks for any comments on this, as it is something that I am always personally debating with how I want images opened on my website.

New Watermark On Images

I decided to create a new watermark for my images on Utch's Web Page. The new watermark is less intrusive than the old one, so instead of just using it on new pictures I decided to update all existing images with it. Much better on the eyes!

Snowy Landscape Pictures at Camp Navajo

Since we've had a fair amount of snow lately I decided to take a few landscape pictures at Camp Navajo. So, on Thursday, January 6th, 2005, I headed out in four-wheel drive to the pristine snow scapes at the depot. Check out these digital images at Utch's Web Page under Gallery 1, today!
