New Grand Canyon (South Rim) Pictures on Utch's Web Page!

What an awesome storm! I went up to The Grand Canyon on Friday, August 6th, to take some out-of-state friends to the canyon... ...and what a Mother Nature treat of rain, hail and lightning! There was so much storming going on, though, that we barely had a half hour of decent viewing the whole day, but the weather activity was simply stunning! The few moments that the rain subsided, and light squeezed through the dense cloud cover, I was able to get a few pictures. Check them out on Utch's Web Page, today!

What beautiful photgraphs. They brought back lots of wonderful memories for me as I looked through them. For years my husband and I travelled with our trailer through the west and visited many of the places you photographed. A large framed photo of Bryce canyon hangs over our fireplace to remind us of hiking in the canyon. My husband is now 90 and we sold our camper two years ago. Thanks for bringing back those times. Found you through the SEO group.

You are welcome... ...and thank you for the generous complement! I'm glad that I was able to stir those "wonderful memories" of your tavels.

Bryce Canyon is mine and my wife's favorite place to hike... ...it is truly other-world like in its beauty and magnificence! By the way, were you able to walk through there at night? The last time we were there it was a full moon, and the park is open 24 hours. It was totally awe inspiring to hike the trail at night... ...it was a little after midnight, and we felt we were on another planet as the full moon's light softly shined past the hoodoos to the canyon trail!

Hi, Mark... ...thanks! I checked out your blog, and I love your Alaska images. The bear pics are awesome! Bears are my wife's fave. I'm including your blog in my links list so that other visitors to my blog may have the opportunity to explore your work as well. Good luck in September at Arches... ...it should be much cooler there, then, than when I went in June. It was WAY too hot to do any hiking to get pics of the better arches on that trip... ...I want to do a December or January return trip so that I can capture more of what the park has to offer.
